Have you ever decoupaged ? I have decoupaged before, but not with Roycycled tissue paper. I watched Royce’s video on beginning decoupage. I followed each of her steps. Guess what, it was so easy!! I love how the projects turned out. I just happened to have a pizza board very similar to what she used! I also had an extra wooden tag so I decided to put the Spring paper on it. These are the steps I followed!
Step #1 Clean Project! I used Fusion TSP Paint a coat of white Fusion Mineral Casement as the primer.
Step #2 Paint a coat of white Fusion Mineral Casement as the primer.
Step #3 I placed the tissue paper on my project board and cut, leaving about an inch overhang
Step #4 I then used Fusion Mineral Tough Coat to adhere the tissue paper to the board, using Seran Wrap wadded up in a ball to smooth out the wrinkles, I did the first half of the board , applied the Fusion Tough Coat and then smoothed it down and then applied the Tough Coat the to other half and again smoothing with the ball of Seran Wrap. Step #5 I used a piece of 220 grit sandpaper and sanded the edge off, so no need to cut! Step #6 There were several wrinkles, but Royce said not to worry about them , they will smooth out as it dries. The wrinkles did smooth out! I will add a small wreath, or greenery to the pizza board and ribbon to the tag. This was so much fun! I can’t wait to try other projects!
